Steak & Shrimp Hibachi (Restaurant-Style Takeout)

  1. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, paprika, sugar, water, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  2. Mix until smooth.
  3. Refrigerate while preparing the meal.

Step 2: Prepare the Ginger Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, lemon juice, ginger, and sugar.
  2. Set aside for serving.

Step 3: Cook the Fried Rice

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet.
  2. Add carrots and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Push vegetables to one side and scramble the eggs.
  4. Add cold rice and remaining butter.
  5. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
  6. Add soy sauce and green onions.
  7. Mix well and keep warm.

Step 4: Cook the Vegetables

  1. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add zucchini and onion.
  3. Cook for 5–6 minutes until lightly caramelized.
  4. Add soy sauce and toss well.
  5. Remove from heat.

Step 5: Cook the Steak

  1. Season steak cubes with soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a hot skillet or griddle.
  3. Sear steak for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add butter during the final minute.
  5. Cook until browned and juicy.

Step 6: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Season shrimp with soy sauce, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side.
  4. Remove once pink and slightly caramelized.

Step 7: Assemble the Hibachi Plate

  1. Place a generous serving of fried rice on one side.
  2. Add the hibachi vegetables beside the rice.
  3. Arrange steak bites and shrimp on the plate.
  4. Serve with Yum Yum sauce and ginger sauce on the side.
  5. Enjoy hot, just like your favorite hibachi takeout!
