Soft & Chewy Chocolate

Step 1: Prepare the Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl combine:

  • Flour
  • Cocoa powder
  • Baking soda
  • Salt

Whisk together and set aside.

Step 2: Cream the Butter and Sugar

In a large bowl beat together:

  • Softened butter
  • Sugar
  • Brown sugar

Mix until the texture becomes light and creamy.

Step 3: Add Egg and Vanilla

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture.

Mix well until fully combined.

Step 4: Combine the Dough

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.

Mix until a soft dough forms.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Step 5: Chill the Dough

Cover the dough and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.
This helps the cookies keep their shape and improves texture.

Step 6: Bake the Cookies

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Scoop small balls of dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are set but the center remains soft.

Step 7: Cool and Serve

Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes before transferring them to a rack.

Enjoy them warm with milk or coffee.
