Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Wash the ginger thoroughly and cut it into small pieces. Peel the garlic cloves and lightly crush them to release their aroma. Slice the onion thinly and prepare the cinnamon stick and whole cloves.
Wash the lemon before cutting it.
Step 2: Bring the Water to a Boil
Pour 1 liter of water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium heat.
Step 3: Add the Ingredients
Add the ginger, garlic, onion, cinnamon stick, and cloves to the boiling water. Stir gently to distribute the ingredients.
Step 4: Simmer for 15 Minutes
Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer gently for approximately 15 minutes. Keep the saucepan partially covered.
The liquid will develop a strong aroma as the ingredients release some of their flavor and water-soluble compounds.
Step 5: Strain the Drink
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then strain it into a clean container.
Step 6: Add the Lemon Juice
Once the drink is warm rather than boiling hot, add the juice of half a lemon. If desired, add a small amount of honey for sweetness.
Step 7: Serve
Pour a small cup and enjoy it warm. Because the mixture is concentrated and contains several pungent ingredients, start with a small amount to see how your stomach tolerates it.
Do not assume that drinking it every morning or evening for a fixed number of days will produce a particular medical benefit.
