Christmas Jam

1. Prepare the Fruit

Add the strawberries, cranberries, raspberries, lemon juice, and water to a large saucepan. Lightly crush some of the fruit with a potato masher while leaving some pieces whole.

2. Add the Spices

Stir in the cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.

3. Add the Sugar

Add the sugar gradually, stirring constantly until it dissolves completely.

4. Add the Pectin

Stir in the powdered pectin. Bring the mixture back to a full rolling boil and cook according to the pectin package directions, stirring constantly.

5. Check the Consistency

Remove the pot from the heat and let the jam sit for a few minutes. It will continue to thicken as it cools.

6. Fill the Jars

Spoon the hot jam into clean jars, leaving the appropriate headspace for your chosen storage method. Allow it to cool.

For refrigerator jam, cover and refrigerate once cooled.
