Step 1: Cook the Potatoes
- Peel and chop the potatoes into small cubes.
- Boil in salted water for 12–15 minutes until fork-tender.
- Drain well and mash until completely smooth.
- Let them cool slightly.
✔ Tip: Make sure there is no excess water — this keeps the dough soft but not sticky.
Step 2: Make the Dough
- Add flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the mashed potatoes.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- If the dough feels dry, add 1 tablespoon milk at a time.
- Knead gently for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
The dough should be soft but not sticky.
Step 3: Shape & Fill
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
- Flatten each portion into a small circle.
- Place shredded cheese in the center.
- Fold the edges inward and seal tightly.
- Gently flatten again into a thick disc.
Step 4: Cook in a Frying Pan
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat.
- Add a little oil or butter.
- Cook each bread for 4–5 minutes per side.
- Flip carefully and cook until golden brown and crispy outside.
The cheese inside will melt beautifully!
