- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the apples:
Peel, core, and chop the apples into small pieces. - Blend the apples:
Place the chopped apples and eggs in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. - Add the cocoa:
Add the unsweetened cocoa powder and baking powder. Blend briefly until everything is well combined. - Prepare the pan:
Lightly grease a loaf pan or small cake pan with olive oil. For easier removal, you can also line the bottom with parchment paper. - Pour in the batter:
Transfer the chocolate batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top. - Bake:
Bake for approximately 30–40 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out mostly clean. - Cool:
Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. - Chill and slice:
Transfer to a cooling rack and let it cool completely before slicing. For a firmer, fudgier texture, refrigerate it for about an hour.
🍫 Serving Tip
For an extra chocolatey finish, dust the cooled cake with a little unsweetened cocoa powder before serving.
Note: This cake contains no added sugar, but apples naturally contain sugar. It can be a lower-added-sugar dessert, but it isn’t a guaranteed weight-loss food; overall diet and calorie intake matter much more.
