Walking Taco Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

1 ½ lbs. ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
3 oz. cream cheese
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can green chilis
2-3 cups Fritos corn chips
1 cup shredded taco blend cheese
1 Roma tomato, chopped
1-2 cups lettuce, shredded
Salsa and sour cream for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Place the ground beef and chopped onion in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat on the stove. Sauté until the meat is browned and the onions have softened.
Add the taco seasoning, green chilis, and cream cheese to the skillet. Sauté until the cream cheese is completely melted and well combined with the other ingredients.
Top the mixture in the skillet with the Fritos corn chips, spreading them evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded taco blend cheese over the corn chips.
Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the skillet from the oven and top the casserole with shredded lettuce and chopped tomato.
If preferred, garnish with sour cream and salsa.
