Ingredients:
2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
2 teaspoons brown sugar
¼ teaspoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
In a Ziploc bag, combine all the ingredients together. Seal the bag tightly.
Shake the bag vigorously to ensure that all the ingredients are evenly combined.
Generously and evenly coat the sides of the steak with the seasoning mixture. Allow the seasoned steak to sit for about 40 minutes. This will allow the salt to penetrate the surface of the meat and tenderize it.
Preheat your grill to a high heat.
Once the grill is hot, place the seasoned steak on it and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until it is browned and slightly charred.
Flip the steak over and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes for medium rare, 7 minutes for medium, or 10 minutes for well done.
Once the steak is cooked to your desired doneness, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the steak immediately.
Notes:
Take your time and adjust the salt to your desired level.
