Sweet Blueberry Biscuits

Ingredients:

For the Biscuits:

2 cups flour
1 cup cold milk
1/3 cup sugar
5 tablespoons cold or frozen butter
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 ounces blueberries (fresh or dried)

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar
1/8 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a large bowl, mix together the salt, sugar, flour, and baking powder.
Add the cold milk and blueberries to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Before starting the biscuit dough, place one stick of butter in the freezer for about an hour.
Remove the butter from the freezer and break it into chunks. Spread the frozen butter chunks evenly over the biscuit dough.
Fold the dough and knead it until the frozen butter chunks are spread evenly throughout.
Place the dough on a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/4 to 1/8 inch thickness.
Use a biscuit cutter to cut approximately 6 biscuits from the dough.
Bake the biscuits for about 7 to 12 minutes until they are golden brown.
In a microwave-safe dish, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and gently brush it on top of the hot biscuits.
In a separate bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, water, vanilla extract, and lemon juice to make the glaze.
Drizzle the glaze over the biscuits.
Serve and enjoy your Sweet Blueberry Biscuits!
Note: You can adjust the amount of blueberries and glaze according to your preference.
