Step 1: Prepare the Peppers
- Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
- Cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.

- Pour the remaining ½ cup tomato sauce over the peppers.
Step 5: Bake
- Cover the dish with foil.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top (optional), and bake another 10 minutes until melted.
