Strawberry Cake with Frosting Recipe

Ingredients:

1 white cake mix
One 3-oz packet of strawberry gelatin dessert, Jell-O

4 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1 (10 ounce) package frozen strawberries, thawed

Frosting:

1 (1 lb) package powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, strawberry Jell-O, and eggs. Mix well.
Add the vegetable oil, water, and half of the thawed strawberries. Beat for two minutes at a medium tempo.

Pour the batter into a greased 12×9-inch pan.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool.
For the frosting, in a separate mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, softened butter, and the remaining strawberries. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
Evenly cover the cooled cake with icing.
