Ingredients
Two pounds of thinly sliced sirloin steak
1 red bell pepper thinly sliced
1 yellow bell pepper thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper thinly sliced
1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp lime juice
½ teaspoon chili powder
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 minced garlic cloves
2 cups Mexican blend cheese, grated
6 to 8 tortillas
Instructions:
Place the sliced sirloin steak, spices, lime juice, and olive oil in a zip lock bag.
Seal the bag and shake it to ensure the steak pieces are coated with the marinade.
Add the thinly sliced bell peppers and onions to the bag, then seal it again.
Shake the bag once more to coat the vegetables with the marinade.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet and add the contents of the bag to the heated skillet.
Cook the mixture in the skillet until the vegetables are tender and the steak is cooked to your liking.
Serve the fajita filling with warm tortillas and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Optionally, add your choice of additional toppings.
Enjoy your delicious spicy steak fajitas!
Note: Make sure to adjust the cooking time based on your preference for the doneness of the steak and the desired tenderness of the vegetables.
