Slow Cooker Ravioli Lasagna Recipe

Equipment:

Slow Cooker (5 quart or larger)

Ingredients:

25 oz. frozen ravioli (do not thaw, 5 cheese variety recommended)
1 lb. ground beef (or mild sausage)
1 cup diced white onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried leaf oregano (not ground)
24 oz. marinara sauce (such as Rao’s)
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese (about 2 cups)

Instructions:

In a medium-sized non-stick skillet set over medium-high heat, add the ground beef (or sausage) and diced onion. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Cook until the meat is browned. Leave a few tablespoons of the liquid in the skillet to keep the meat moist and flavorful.
Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
Transfer half of the marinara sauce to the slow cooker’s bottom.

Place half of the frozen ravioli on top of the sauce in an even layer.
Spread the cooked ground beef mixture over the ravioli, covering it evenly.
Arrange the leftover frozen ravioli over the meat.
Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the ravioli.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, evenly covering the top.
After covering the slow cooker, simmer it on LOW for four hours.
