Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients:

1 pound ground sausage (breakfast, Italian, or other)
1 cup shredded cheese of your choice
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
Pepper, to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Roll out the crescent rolls and cut each triangle in half lengthwise.
Cook the ground sausage in a skillet until it is completely browned. Drain any excess grease and allow the sausage to cool.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled ground sausage with the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined.
Spoon a small amount of the sausage mixture onto the wider end of each crescent roll piece.
Starting from the widest end, roll the crescent roll dough over the sausage filling, forming mini stuffed crescent rolls.
Place the stuffed crescents on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
Take them out of the oven and serve them hot.
