Salted Caramel Bites recipe

Ingredients
4 cups oyster crackers
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla paste or extract
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lightly coat it with non-stick cooking spray.
Arrange the oyster crackers on the baking sheet that has been preheated in an equal layer.
Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat.. Add the brown sugar and vanilla paste or extract. Stir the mixture until the brown sugar is dissolved.
As the mixture reaches a boil, turn up the heat. Stir constantly until liquid becomes frothy and lighter in color, about 3 to 4 minutes. It will have a delicious aroma.
Remove the pan from the heat and quickly pour the caramel mixture over the top of the crackers. Gently mix with a rubber spatula until all the crackers are thoroughly coated.
Sprinkle kosher salt evenly over the top of the caramel-coated crackers.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let the salted caramel bites cool before serving.
