quick and delicious dessert

Ingredients:

1 apple
Juice of half a lemon
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of butter
A sprinkle of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of apricot jam

For the batter:

3 eggs
150g sugar
Pinch of salt
8g vanilla sugar
120ml oil
150ml milk
250g flour
16g baking powder
Powdered sugar (for decoration)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

After the apple has been peeled and cored, thinly slice it. To keep the slices from browning, toss them in lemon juice.

Melt the butter in a pan over a medium heat.. Add the apple slices, sugar, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Cook until apples start to get a little soft.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar until well combined. Slowly add the oil and milk while continuing to whisk.

Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate basin.
Gradually add this dry mixture to the egg mixture, stirring until smooth.

Pour half of the batter into a greased baking dish. Arrange the cooked apple slices on top. Spread the apricot jam over the apples.

Pour the remaining batter over the apples, covering them completely.

When a toothpick put into the middle comes out clean, the top of the baked dish should be golden brown after about 30 minutes of baking in a preheated oven.

Once cooled, sprinkle powdered sugar over the dessert for decoration.
