Step 1: Cook the Potatoes
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks.
- Place them in a pot of salted water.
- Boil for 15–20 minutes until tender.
- Drain well and mash until smooth.
- Let the mashed potatoes cool slightly.
Step 2: Prepare the Potato Dough
- Add egg, flour, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- If the dough is sticky, add a little more flour.
Step 3: Cook the Meat Filling
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground meat.
- Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 6–8 minutes until the meat is fully browned.
- Let the filling cool slightly.
Step 4: Form the Patties
- Take 2 tablespoons of potato dough and flatten it in your hand.
- Place 1 tablespoon of meat filling in the center.
- Cover with another small piece of potato dough.
- Seal the edges and shape into a round patty.
Step 5: Fry the Patties
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Place patties in the pan carefully.
- Fry 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer to paper towels to remove excess oil.
