Ingredients:
3 lb beef eye of round roast
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C).
Seasoning and Roasting:
Add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to the beef roast to season it.
Place the roast in a roasting pan or baking dish without covering or adding water.
Cooking Process:
Place the roast in the preheated oven and immediately reduce the temperature to 475°F (245°C).
Roast for 21 minutes (7 minutes per pound).
Turn off the oven and let the roast sit in the hot oven for 2 1/2 hours without opening the door.
Finishing and Serving:
Remove the roast from the oven when the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F (65°C).
Carve the roast into thin slices and serve.
