Ingredients:
1 (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
3/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup pineapple juice
4 eggs, room temperature
2 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cup pineapple juice
4 tablespoons butter, melted and still hot
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a standard bundt pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the yellow cake mix, vegetable oil, pineapple juice, and eggs until just combined.
Transfer the cake batter to the prepared bundt pan and bake for 28-32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes while preparing the pineapple syrup.
For the pineapple syrup, whisk together the powdered sugar and pineapple juice into the hot melted butter until smooth.
Using a fork or skewer, poke holes all over the top of the cake while it’s still in the pan, then pour about ¾ of the syrup over the top.
Let the syrup soak in for an additional 15 minutes, then invert the cake onto a serving plate. Overtop, drizzle the remaining syrup.
