Ingredients:
3 bell peppers
1 pound ground beef
8 ounces mushrooms, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef broth
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut off the bell peppers’ tops and discard the seeds.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned and the onion has softened.
Stir in the chopped mushrooms.
Mix in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer the mixture until the liquid is almost all absorbed.
Stuff the bell peppers with the meat mixture.
Over the filled peppers, scatter the mozzarella cheese shreds.
Cover the baking dish with a piece of tin foil and bake for forty-five minutes.
Before serving, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool somewhat.
