Ingredients:
Two pounds of 2-inch-wide slices of beef sirloin
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 cup hot water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 large green bell peppers, roughly chopped
One can (14.5 ounces) of liquid-simmered tomatoes
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Sprinkle the beef sirloin strips with garlic powder. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the vegetable oil and sear the beef strips for about 5 minutes per side. The beef should be moved to a slow cooker.
Dissolve the beef bouillon cube in hot water in a separate container, then mix in cornstarch until dissolved. Pour this mixture into the slow cooker with the beef strips.
Stir in the chopped onion, green peppers, stewed tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar, and salt.
Cook with a lid on for three to four hours on High or eight hours on Low.
