No-Bake Homemade Crunch Bars

Ingredients

▢3 cups crispy rice cereal
▢1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
▢ Substitute any nut or seed butter for 1 cup of peanut butter.
▢ Use 1/2 cup of maple syrup and replace coconut oil with grass-fed butter (if preferred, use 1/4 cup of coconut oil instead).

Instructions:

Line an 8 x 8-inch baking dish or a deep baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
Place crispy rice cereal into a large mixing bowl and set it aside.
In a microwave-safe bowl or on the stovetop, combine the remaining ingredients and heat until melted. Remove from the microwave or stovetop and whisk until fully incorporated.
Pour the melted chocolate/peanut butter mixture over the crispy rice cereal, mix until well combined, and then transfer it into the lined baking dish. Refrigerate until it becomes firm (approximately one hour).
