Ingredients:
12 mozzarella cheese sticks
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil for frying
Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions:
Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks in half, so you have 24 shorter sticks.
In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
In a separate dish, whisk the eggs and milk together.
Place the breadcrumbs in another shallow bowl.
Take a mozzarella stick and coat it in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Dip the coated mozzarella stick into the egg mixture, making sure it is fully coated.
To carefully press the breadcrumbs onto the cheese, roll the mozzarella stick in the breadcrumbs.
Place the coated mozzarella stick on a baking sheet and repeat the process with the remaining cheese sticks.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a deep skillet to around 375°F (190°C).
Carefully place a few mozzarella sticks into the hot oil and fry them for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
Remove the fried mozzarella sticks from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Repeat the frying process with the remaining mozzarella sticks.
Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
Enjoy the crispy and cheesy goodness of homemade mozzarella sticks as a tasty appetizer or snack for your Super Bowl party or any gathering!
