Meat and Potato Casserole

Ingredients (Servings 8):

1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup beef broth
1 can cream of mushroom soup
5 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Grease a 9 by 13-inch baking dish and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium-high heat until the onions are tender and the meat is browned. Drain any excess fat.
In a bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, beef broth, dried rosemary, garlic powder, cream of mushroom soup, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the greased baking dish.
Top with one-third of the soup mixture and half of the cooked ground beef mixture.
Repeat another layer with the remaining potatoes, one-third of the soup mixture, and the remaining ground beef mixture.
Finish with the remaining soup mixture and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
Before serving, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool somewhat.
