King’s Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Lightly grease a baking dish.

Step 2: Prepare the Rolls

Without separating the rolls, slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.

Place the bottom half in the baking dish.

Step 3: Make the Cheesecake Filling

In a bowl beat together:

  • Cream cheese
  • Sugar
  • Egg
  • Vanilla extract

Mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Assemble the Danish

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.

Place the top half of the rolls back on top.

Step 5: Add the Butter Topping

Mix together:

  • Melted butter
  • Brown sugar
  • Cinnamon

Brush or pour this mixture over the top of the rolls.

Step 6: Bake

Bake for 20–25 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the filling is set.

Step 7: Make the Glaze

In a small bowl mix:

  • Powdered sugar
  • Milk
  • Vanilla

Drizzle the glaze over the warm Danish.

Tips
