Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk
1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 and 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup oil
7 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the glaze:
3 cups powdered sugar
4 teaspoons water
1 drop pink food coloring (or adjust to taste)
Dragees (sprinkles)
Instructions:
In the bowl of a mixer, combine the sugar, eggs, and oil. Beat the ingredients together until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix the baking powder with the flour, stirring a few times. With the mixer turned off, gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients to avoid it flying out of the bowl.
Add the vanilla extract and milk to the mixture, and beat until well blended. Once the mixture is thoroughly combined, pour it into a well-buttered oven tray lined with waxed paper. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for 25 minutes.
After taking the shortbread out of the oven, allow it to cool.. In a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar, water, and a drop of pink food coloring until you achieve a desired consistency for the glaze.
Spread the glaze over the cooled shortbread, decorate with dragees (sprinkles), and cut the shortbread into desired shapes.
