Ingredients:
400 g (3 1/4 cups) all-purpose flour
50g (1/4 cup) sugar
5 g (1 tsp) salt
7g dry yeast
250 ml (1 cup) lukewarm milk
1 large egg
55g (1/4 cup) butter
8 g (1 tbsp.) minced garlic
Garlic Butter:
8 g (1 tbsp.) minced garlic
1 g (2 tsp) dried parsley
55g (1/3 cup) salted butter, melted
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, and dry yeast.
Pour in the lukewarm milk and add the egg.
Knead the dough with a mixer for 5 minutes. Allow the dough to rest in the bowl for 20 minutes with a cloth covering it.
Add the softened butter and minced garlic to the dough, and continue kneading until you achieve an elastic dough consistency.
Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
After the dough has risen, turn it out onto a surface and pat it into the shape of a square.. Divide it into 25 pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball, cover them, and let them rest for 15 minutes.
Slightly deflate each ball by tucking in the edges, and place them in a greased baking dish. Cover the dish and let the buns rise for another 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the garlic butter by combining the minced garlic, dried parsley, and melted butter in a bowl. Mix well.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Brush the tops of the risen buns with the garlic butter and bake them in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
Once the buns are still warm, brush them with a little more garlic butter for an extra burst of flavor.
Serve and enjoy your homemade garlic buns as a delicious side or snack.
These flavorful garlic buns are best enjoyed fresh from the oven.
