HERSHEY’S Syrup Brownies Recipe

Ingredients:
Brownies:
1/2 cup butter (melted, no substitutes)
1 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1 (16 oz) can Hershey’s syrup
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Icing:
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup butter (melted, no substitutes)
4 tablespoons cocoa
4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the bottom of a 10×15 inch pan.
Mix Butter and Sugar: After melting the butter in the microwave, cream together the butter and granulated sugar.
Add Eggs: Beat thoroughly after each addition of egg, then add the eggs one at a time.

Add Vanilla: Mix in the vanilla extract.
Add Flour: Gradually add the flour and mix until well combined.
Add Hershey’s Syrup: Pour in the Hershey’s syrup and mix well.
Add Nuts (Optional): If using, stir in the chopped nuts.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
When a toothpick put into the center comes out clean, bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
Prepare Icing: When the brownies are almost done baking, prepare the icing. In a microwave-safe bowl, bring the butter, cocoa, and 1 tablespoon of milk to a boil in the microwave.
Mix Icing: In a mixing bowl, add the confectioners’ sugar. Pour the hot cocoa mixture over the sugar and beat well. Add the vanilla extract and the remaining milk, a little at a time, until the icing reaches the desired spreading consistency.
Ice Brownies: Let the brownies cool for about 5-10 minutes. Spread the icing over the warm brownies. Sprinkle with more chopped nuts if desired. The icing will harden to a fudge-like consistency as it cools.
Cool and Cut: Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
