Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 (0.25 ounce) package instant yeast
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons white sugar
Directions:
In a small saucepan, boil the milk until it begins to bubble, and then remove from the heat.
Mix in the butter and stir until melted. Let it cool until lukewarm.
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, yeast, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt. Mix well. Add the egg and the milk mixture; beat well. Gradually add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, stirring well after each addition.
Once the dough has pulled together, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, about 5 minutes.
After covering the dough, let it ten minutes to rest.
Roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. Moisten the dough with 2 tablespoons of milk.
Mix together 1 tablespoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar, then sprinkle the mixture on top of the moistened dough. Roll up the dough tightly, creating a roll about 3 inches in diameter. Seal the edge of the roll with a little water and pinch the seam to close.
Place the roll onto a greased baking sheet, cover it, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the bread is browned.
After baking, take the bread out of the oven and allow it to cool.
