Hamburger Steaks with Onion Gravy

Ingredients:

For the Hamburger Steaks:

1 pound of ground beef
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
1/4 cup of milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
Divide the mixture and shape it into individual hamburger steaks.
Vegetable oil should be heated in a pan over medium-high heat.

Place the hamburger steaks in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
The cooked hamburger steaks should be taken out of the skillet and placed aside.
For the Onion Gravy:
Add the sliced onions to the same pan and sauté them until they become tender and transparent.

Prepare the gravy by adding the beef broth and flour to the skillet with the onions. Stir well to combine.
Cook the gravy over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
Add salt and pepper to taste when preparing the gravy.

Return the cooked hamburger steaks to the skillet with the onion gravy and simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
