Garlic Roasted Chicken and Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter
Six chicken leg parts, divided into thighs and drumsticks
Six big Yukon Gold potatoes, sliced into pieces
24 cloves garlic, unpeeled
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions:

Set the oven’s temperature to 400°F, or 200°C.
Melt the butter in the oven by placing it in a roasting pan. Swirl the melted butter to coat the bottom of the roasting pan.
Add the chicken drumsticks, thighs, potatoes, and unpeeled garlic cloves to the roasting pan. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.To cover the chicken, potatoes, and garlic with butter, turn them over.

Bake for about 40 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the chicken’s juices run clear and it is no longer pink inside.
. Baste the chicken with the pan drippings 3 times during cooking.
Spoon the pan drippings over the potatoes and brush the chicken pieces with the maple syrup.
Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until the chicken and potatoes are tender and browned. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
To serve, squeeze the soft garlic from the roasted cloves and spread it over the chicken. Pour the pan juices over the chicken and potatoes.
