Ingredients:
One packet (16 ounces) of raw rotini pasta
1 (25 ounce) jar of marinara sauce
3 cups of water
1 (14 ounce) package of fully-cooked miniature meatballs (if using frozen meatballs, ensure they are completely thawed)
2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese (or Italian blend)
Garnish with Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped herbs (parsley, basil, and oregano, for example).
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F
In a large baking dish, combine the uncooked rotini pasta, marinara sauce, water, and meatballs. Stir well to ensure all the ingredients are mixed together.
Bake the baking dish for thirty minutes with the aluminum foil securely covering it.
Remove the foil and give the casserole a stir.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the pasta is tender.
Optional: Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped herbs like basil, oregano, or parsley.
