Easy Croissants recipe

Ingredients:
For the dough:

400ml (1 3/4 cups) warm milk
100g (1/2 cup) sugar
7g dry yeast
1 egg
15ml (1 tbsp) oil
Pinch of salt
10g (2 tsp) vanilla sugar
600g (3 3/4 cups) flour
100g (7 tbsp) melted butter

Method:

In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Whisk well and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Add oil, egg, and vanilla sugar to the mixture. Whisk to combine.
Stir in flour and salt, and start mixing the dough with a spatula. Then, continue kneading it with your hands until it comes together.
Add melted butter to the dough and continue kneading until you have an elastic dough.
Cover the dough and let it sit for 1 hour to rise.
Divide the dough into 10-12 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Cover the balls with plastic wrap and let them sit for 15 minutes.
Roll each ball into a long oval shape. Fold the oval in half lengthwise and roll it up to form a croissant shape. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Arrange the croissants on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover them and let them sit for 15-20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F. Brush the croissants with milk and bake for 25 minutes.
Once the croissants are ready, brush each one with butter.
Enjoy your homemade croissants!
