Deep Dish Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

For the Topping:

2 eggs
1 cup sugar (reserve 1/4 cup and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon to it)
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Filling:

Apples (amount not specified)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

In a bowl, combine all the topping ingredients, except for the reserved cinnamon sugar. Mix well.

Sprinkle the reserved cinnamon sugar over the apples in a deep dish.

Pour the topping mixture over the entire apple mixture.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is firm and golden brown.

Take it out of the oven and let it to cool a little.

Serve the deep dish apple crisp warm, and optionally, you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
