Crockpot Pepper Steak

Ingredients:

1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 white onion, sliced
1 can diced tomatoes
2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into strips
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
2/3 cup hot water
1 cube beef bouillon
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add the steak and sauté until browned on each side.
Dissolve the beef bouillon cube in hot water and pour it into the crockpot.
Whisk the cornstarch into the bouillon and water mixture.
Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar to the crockpot.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
Add the browned steak and sliced onions to the crockpot.
Cook for six to seven hours on low heat or three hours on high heat.

After the initial cooking time, add the sliced bell peppers to the crockpot and cook for an additional hour.
Garnish with thinly sliced green onions.
Accompany with a supper salad and a dish of rice.
