Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) softened unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
Before proceeding, preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and place parchment paper on a baking pan.
Beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing basin until the mixture is light and fluffy.
One egg at a time, adding and thoroughly mixing after each addition. Add the vanilla essence and stir.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.. Mixing until just incorporated, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones.
Once the chocolate chips are uniformly scattered throughout the dough, fold them in.
Round tablespoons of dough should be dropped, separated by around 2 inches, onto the baking sheet that has been prepared.
Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown. The centers may still be slightly soft but will firm up as the cookies cool.
After five minutes of cooling on the baking sheet, move the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Enjoy your delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies! You can adjust the baking time to achieve your preferred texture.
