CHOCOLATE LAVA CUPCAKES RECIPE

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Line a 6-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners or grease well.

Step 2: Melt Chocolate & Butter

  1. In a heatproof bowl, combine chocolate chips and butter.
  2. Melt using a microwave (30-second intervals) or double boiler.
  3. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  4. Let cool slightly.

Step 3: Mix Eggs & Sugar

  1. In another bowl, whisk together:
    • Eggs
    • Egg yolks
    • Sugar
  2. Whisk for 2–3 minutes until slightly thick and pale.

Step 4: Combine Mixtures

  1. Slowly pour melted chocolate into egg mixture while whisking.
  2. Add vanilla extract.
  3. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined.

Step 5: Fill & Bake

  1. Divide batter evenly into muffin cups (about ¾ full).
  2. Bake for 10–12 minutes.

Step 6: Rest & Serve

  1. Let cupcakes rest for 2 minutes.
  2. Carefully remove from pan.
  3. Serve immediately while warm.
