Chocolate Glazed Donuts

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl mix:

  • flour
  • sugar
  • yeast
  • salt

Add:

  • warm milk
  • egg
  • melted butter
  • vanilla extract

Mix until a soft dough forms.

Step 2: Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface.

Knead for about 8–10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover it.

Heat oil in a deep pan to about 350°F (175°C).

Carefully place donuts into the hot oil.

Fry for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.

Remove and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 5: Prepare the Chocolate Glaze

In a small saucepan heat the heavy cream until warm (not boiling).

Pour it over the chocolate chips in a bowl.

Add butter and stir until the chocolate melts and becomes smooth.

Step 6: Glaze the Donuts

Dip the top of each donut into the chocolate glaze.

Place them on a cooling rack and let the glaze set for 10–15 minutes.
