Candy Grapes

Ingredients:

20-25 grapes, washed and completely dried
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup light corn syrup
White gel food coloring
Additional gel colors of your choosing; sky blue and bright pink are suggested.

2 teaspoons flavored oil of your choice
Sprinkles for decorating (optional)

Instructions:

Prep the grapes: Make sure the grapes are thoroughly washed and dried. Skewer each grape and set them aside for dipping.
Prepare the sugar mixture: In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, and corn syrup. Cook the mixture without stirring until it reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer.
Add coloring: Once removed from heat, stir in white gel food coloring and your choice of flavored oil. Add 3-4 drops of gel colors of your choice and swirl gently.
Coat the grapes: Dip each grape into the sugar mixture and spin it to allow excess coating to drip off. Optionally, roll the coated grapes in sprinkles and then place them on parchment paper or a silicone mat to dry.
Serve the candy grapes: Allow the grapes to dry for about 15 minutes, or place them in the fridge for 10 minutes to harden.
