Ingredients:
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/3 cup honey
Cajun seasoning (1 tablespoon, remaining seasoning can be stored for up to 3 months)
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons paprika (smoked paprika, if available)
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Chopped cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper. This is the Cajun seasoning blend.
In a separate bowl, beat the unsalted butter with an electric hand mixer for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
Blend the honey and cream in a blender until smooth.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season them with salt and pepper to taste. Rub them with a little oil.
Cook the seasoned salmon fillets for 6-8 minutes on each side on a preheated grill or grill pan, or until they are opaque and have a crusty texture.
After turning off the grill (or stove if using a grill pan), spread a generous amount of Cajun Honey Butter over each salmon fillet.
Allow the butter to melt for 30 seconds, then use the back of a spoon to spread it evenly over the salmon.
Optionally, garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley.
Serve the Cajun Honey Butter Salmon immediately.
