British Bangers and Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Cheesy Smashed Potatoes recipe

Ingredients:

For the British Bangers:

8 British bangers (sausages)
1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

One-pound sirloin steak, sliced into small pieces

Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:

1.5 lbs baby potatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Directions:

Cook the British Bangers:

In a big skillet over medium heat, warm up the olive oil.

Cook the bangers, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through (about 10-12 minutes). Keep warm.
Prepare the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
Season steak pieces with salt and pepper.
Melt butter in the same skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook steak bites for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your liking.
Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Sprinkle with parsley and remove from heat.
Make the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Cook baby potatoes for around 15 minutes in salted water until they become soft.
Drain and cool slightly.
Put the potatoes on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Gently smash each potato.
Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
