Baked Potatoes with Meatballs and Cheese

Step 1: Boil the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick slices.

Boil them in salted water for 10–12 minutes until just tender but not falling apart.

Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Meatballs

In a bowl combine:

  • ground beef
  • onion
  • garlic
  • egg
  • breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • paprika

Mix well and form small meatballs.

Step 3: Cook the Meatballs

Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little oil.

Cook the meatballs for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally until browned.

They do not need to be fully cooked yet.

Step 4: Prepare the Cream Sauce

In a bowl mix together:

  • heavy cream
  • milk
  • garlic powder
  • salt
  • black pepper

Step 5: Assemble the Dish

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a greased baking dish:

  1. Add a layer of sliced potatoes
  2. Add meatballs
  3. Pour some cream sauce
  4. Sprinkle cheese

Repeat layers until ingredients are used.

Step 6: Bake

Bake for 25–30 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.

Step 7: Rest and Serve

Let the dish rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Garnish with chopped parsley and enjoy.
