Ambrosia Salad

 

Ingredients:

Two cups of fresh pineapple, sliced thinly

1 (15-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
14 ounces maraschino cherries, drained
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
3 cups marshmallows
1 1/3 cups heavy cream
3 tablespoons sugar (add more if desired)
1/4 cup sour cream
Optional: 1 cup green grapes, halved; 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

The sugar and heavy cream should be combined in a large mixing basin.
. Whip until soft peaks form. Fold in the sour cream. If desired, increase the amount of sugar to adjust sweetness.
Cut the fresh pineapple into small pieces.
The pineapple, micro marshmallows, coconut flakes, drained maraschino cherries, and mandarin oranges should all be combined in a big bowl.
. Make sure to drain the fruits well to avoid a runny salad.
Carefully fold in the whipped cream mixture, coating all the ingredients evenly.
If desired, add halved green grapes and chopped pecans to the salad and gently mix.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 2 hours to allow the flavors to develop and the salad to chill.
This is a delicious ambrosia salad. Serve cold.
