2 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
Red and white food coloring
1 ½ cups buttercream frosting

Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare Dry Ingredients:
Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Cream Butter and Sugar:
Cream the granulated sugar and softened butter in a large mixing mixer until frothy. Beat well after adding each egg one at a time.

Combine Ingredients:
Just till incorporated, gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, switching between them and the buttermilk.
Divide and Color Batter:
Divide the batter in half. Add red food coloring to one half of the batter, mixing until the desired shade is achieved.
Layer and Swirl:
Layer the red and white batter alternately in the greased cake pan.
Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the batters together to create the appearance of marble.
Bake:
A toothpick placed in the center of the cake should come out clean after 30 to 35 minutes of baking. Place the cake on a wire rack in the pan and allow it cool fully.
Frost and Decorate:
