Churro Snacks

Ingredients:

5 cups Honeycomb cereal
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/3 cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions:

Preheat Oven: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Cereal: Pour the Honeycomb cereal into a large bowl and set aside.

Make Syrup: In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches a boil over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from the heat.

Add Vanilla and Baking Soda: Stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will bubble and expand.

Coat Cereal: Pour the hot syrup mixture over the cereal. Toss gently to coat the cereal evenly.

Add Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the cereal and toss again until the cereal is evenly coated.

Bake: Evenly distribute the coated cereal on the baking sheet that has been prepared.
. Bake for 8 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even baking.

Cool and Serve: Allow the cereal to cool completely on the baking sheet. Break into bite-sized pieces after cooling, then store in an airtight container.
