Homemade Hamburger Helper

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
2 cups beef broth
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
8 oz pasta of choice (such as farfalle)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed

Directions:

The ground beef should be cooked in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Remove the beef from the pan, but reserve 2 tablespoons of the grease.
Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Then, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant for about 30 seconds.
After adding the flour, whisk the mixture for approximately one minute.
Slowly add the beef broth to the skillet, stirring frequently, until it comes to a boil. Add the oregano, basil, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper after adding the tomato sauce.
. Also, add the pasta to the skillet. Stir everything together.
Cover the skillet with a lid and cook until the pasta is cooked through, usually about 12-15 minutes. If needed, add more beef broth to achieve the desired consistency.
Stir in the heavy cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and cubed Velveeta cheese until they are fully incorporated into the mixture.
Add the cooked ground beef back into the skillet and allow it to cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Serve and enjoy your homemade Hamburger Helper!
