King’s Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish

Ingredients:

For the Danish:

One 12-count package of King’s Hawaiian Rolls, cut in half horizontally

16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs

For the Pineapple Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toasted coconut flakes for garnish

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish very lightly.

Carefully slice the entire pack of King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally, keeping all tops and bottoms connected. After the baking dish is ready, put the lower half inside.

In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth and creamy.
Evenly cover the bottom layer of the Hawaiian Rolls in the baking dish with the cheesecake mixture.
Press firmly to place the top half of the rolls on top of the cheesecake layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set and the tops of the rolls are lightly golden.

In a separate bowl, mix together powdered sugar, pineapple juice, and vanilla essence until smooth while the Danish bakes. Once the Danish is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately drizzle with the pineapple glaze. If desired, sprinkle toasted coconut flakes over the top for an added tropical flair.
