Salted Caramel Banana Bread Recipe

For the Banana Bread:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), room temperature
2 eggs
1/3 cup sour cream
4 ripe bananas, mashed
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the Glaze:

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9×5-inch baking dish.

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.

Creamy brown sugar and butter should be beaten together in a big basin. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add the sour cream, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture. Beat until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing just until combined. Take cautious not to blend too much.

Pour the batter into the loaf pan that has been preheated, leveling the top.

If a toothpick is inserted, it should come out clean after 55 to 60 minutes of baking.

While the bread is cooling, make the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved (about 1 minute).

Stir in the heavy cream and remove the pan from the heat. Add the powdered sugar and kosher salt, mixing until smooth.

Allow the glaze to cool for 5 minutes before pouring it over the bread.

Before slicing and serving, allow the bread to cool fully.

Enjoy this delicious Salted Caramel Banana Bread as a sweet treat for breakfast, snack, or dessert. The combination of moist banana bread and rich salted caramel glaze is sure to satisfy your cravings.
