Hawaiian Style Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
5 cloves garlic, mashed
1 ginger root (2-3 thin and lengthwise slices)

Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix together water and soy sauce. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
Add the ginger pieces and crushed garlic to the mixture.

Place the chicken thighs into the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. You can marinate the chicken for up to 3 days for maximum flavor. If you’re in a hurry, marinate for at least 24 hours.
If you’re pressed for time and can’t marinate the chicken, you can boil it in the sauce right after making it. However, marinating will enhance the flavor.
When you’re ready to cook the chicken, grill it on high heat until it’s cooked through, just like any other meat.
Once the chicken is grilled, transfer it to a pot on the grill. In the saucepan, add a little amount of fresh teriyaki sauce.
. The steam from the sauce will help keep the chicken tender and juicy.
Let the chicken steam in the pot for a few minutes.
Serve the Hawaiian-style teriyaki chicken hot and enjoy!
This recipe combines the flavors of soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and ginger to create a delicious teriyaki marinade for the chicken. Marinating the chicken allows it to absorb the flavors and become more tender. Grilling the chicken adds a smoky flavor, and steaming it in the teriyaki sauce pot keeps it moist and juicy. Serve this Hawaiian-style teriyaki chicken as a main dish and savor the delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors.
