Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F . Grease a 9-inch loaf pan with flour.
Mix the salt, baking soda, and flour in a medium-sized bowl. Set aside.
Beat the sugar and melted butter together in a large bowl until frothy and light.
One egg at a time, adding and beating well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, and mix well after each addition.
Fold in the chopped pecans.

After filling the loaf pan, level the top of the batter.

A toothpick put into the center of the bread should come out clean after baking for 50 to 60 minutes.
After allowing the bread to cool in the pan for ten minutes, take it out and let it rest fully on a wire rack.
